With the new year, how are people concentrating on fitness?

Both mental and physical

Fitness: a condition of being strong and healthy

In India, as per a recent study, where 12000 adults were surveyed: 4 out of every 10 Indian adults aged 18 to 69 are physically inactive! That translates to 41.3% of Indian adults who are not engaging in the WHO recommended level of PA (physical activity) 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise per week.

But is mental fitness equally important? Yes, it????????s the mind that runs all the body parts, if that dysfunction then the body won????????t perform efficiently. Both go hand-in hand.

The biggest challenge for people with the new year????????s resolution is to start and stay consistent. Mind training along with the body is the latest trend of 2023. The only way we achieve better fitness is by practicing it daily and not being rigid in ourselves. Move daily, focus on hydration, and eat clean- all these are the tertiary rules for staying fit, but primarily we need to practice building a healthy mindset with the right thoughts and emotions to enact the right actions. Spending thirty minutes daily to acknowledge, contemplate, and let go of your unwanted thoughts is what will prepare you for tomorrow. This year is all about taking small steps ???????? one at a time, accomplishing them, and aiming for the next lap.

Fitness is simple and cost-effective, but for faster results, we tend to resort to complicated and fancy ways of staying fit. It????????s 2023, and gradually the stereotypical mindset to be a certain waist size, have a certain height, or maybe look a certain way is changing with time. There????????s a certain segment of the Indian population who still practice the ancient practices (yoga and sattvic lifestyle) to stay fit and disseminate it widely across the youth. One such noble work is done by @satvikmovement promoting the satvic way of living along with workshops teaching sattvic recipes with ingredients commonly at home.

Other such institutes are the ???????Art Of Living??????? and the ???????Isha foundation??????? focused on raising human consciousness through ancient techniques of body movements and breathing.

Henceforth, there are a plethora of means to keep yourself healthy whether new or ancient. It boils down to the choice and effort we make to change our lifestyle as well as take a plunge to make a better version of ourselves this year.
