Internalize - Learn To Self-Assess

Internalization is a term often used in sociology, the psychology of well-being and also in spiritual studies and practices. Sociology infers upon the societal conditions which govern a person to accordingly adapt, suit and reflect based on surroundings that they are a part of. In the books of psychology, internalization is a key process for psychoanalysis theories that suggest integration of one????????s attitudes, values, standards, thoughts and opinions that will subsequently mould into the super ego of any individual. In the domains of spiritual studies, connecting to your inner conscience has been integral for one to build upon relationships, values and life purpose. All these three realm point out at the integrity of Self-assessment as a necessary pursuit for men to unravel much of their own self that otherwise lie shrouded under our constantly thinking minds and muddling thoughts.

It is rightly said that ???????We do not learn from our experiences but instead from reflecting upon them???????. Self reflection raises questions about values, perceptions, our actions and emotions which have determined the circumstances of our lives so far. Introspecting upon these traits can be extremely enlightening for an individual to change the course of their future actions by helping them develop an insight, thereby directing the future circumstances accordingly.

Internalization virtues are essentially built upon by advancing in certain key areas like that of Awareness, Understanding, Action and Reflection. The process starts with awareness wherein an individual starts to become aware of the way they act, talk, work and think. They also understand values, morals and internalization in itself as a process that enable to kick-start their exploration process. Once one becomes aware of their circumstances and the paragons of their specific way to life, they understand personal experiences better and this is further reinforced through examples, stories, research and educating about specific matters of purpose.

Specific important skills included in Self-assessment are better time management, increasing ones self confidence, thinking logically and become more self-driven. Unleashing your creative energy can be another great way that enables you to create better and come up with revolutionary ideas thus working on your internal capabilities. Developing emotional intelligence and ones emotional stamina can be other great ways that benefit. All these pursuits ultimately guide an individual to a better future- with a clearer goal in mind and a direction unclouded by confusion of any kind.

Students and professional alike can benefit from internalizing by taking out time for themselves wherein they not just relax, reset but reflect as well. It is very true as said in the lines of Margaret J. Wheatley, ???????without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.
